How to properly wash your hair

Truth is washing your hair isn't just wetting it and applying shampoo, to get effective results, you have to embed steps in between & after to truly build a proper habit.

The key is to perceive it not only as hair  washing treatment but also a scalp treatment.

“Applying proper hair washing techniques lets you ensure that you don’t damage your hair and follicles,” says Monica Davis, a professional hairstylist.

Even if it seems obvious, today we wanted to carefully break down the steps to make sure everything is clear:

1.RINSING WITH WARM WATER: let the water flow over your head for at least 1 minute, carefully pass your fingers through your hair & scalp to fully wet your whole head, this is an important step to get rid of all impurities. The water will serve to open up the pores & make the shampooing treatment easier.

2.SHAMPOO: The point of the shampoo is to clean the hair follicle & scalp. Before applying a random quantity, you should consider your hair length.

For short hair, apply the size of a nickel.

For mid hair length hair, apply a quarter-sized.

For long hair, apply a palm full.

Then mix it with a little water before applying it.

3.CONDITION: This is key to help keep the ends of your hair from splitting or drying out, and effectively untangling.

Apply from the lower mid to end. We recommend also simultaneously using a hair brush to untangle.

4.WAIT & RINSE WITH COOLER WATER: Now we recommend you wait for a few minutes between 5-10 with the conditioner and rinse gently away with cooler water.
